As a partner in the firm, Michael T. Hotz offers a broad array of legal services to clients of diverse backgrounds and legal needs.  His practice includes representing clients in the areas of complex civil litigation, business transactions, real estate law, trusts and estates, family law, and criminal law. Mr. Hotz specializes in the complex area of elder law, helping his clients develop estate plans to preserve assets and apply for Medicaid coverage for home health and nursing home care.

 

Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mr. Hotz graduated with distinction, Magna Cum Laude, from Wabash College in 2008. He received the George A. Lipsky Award in Political Science for his commitment to human and civilized values and his ability to analyze and evaluate contemporary social issues. Mr. Hotz obtained a J.D., with Magna Cum Laude honors, from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2013.

 

Having worked as a registered investment advisor for Charles Schwab & Co., Mr. Hotz understands the financial implications inherent in legal transactions and the impact his advice will have on his clients. Known for his thoroughness and attention to detail, Mr. Hotz takes pride in delivering top-quality legal counsel to his clients.

 

Mr. Hotz is an active member of the Grant County community where he lives with his wife and son.  Mr. Hotz is on the board of directors for Marion GeneralHospital, Grant County YMCA and Grant County United Way.
